WHAT IS RSS?RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It is a type of file, based on the XML standard, that enables most web browsers, some email programs, many handheld devices, and specialized software known as "feedreaders" to see lists of current content on web sites.
This powerful technology helps persons organize the multiplicity of information sources on the Internet. In fact, it is not hype to say that RSS feeds shall soon grow into a principal means of distributing information across all networks, including the Internet and wireless messenging.
